When we have questions on primary school rugby and its laws we refer immediately to Joey Klaaste-Salmans, a schoolmaster and the energetic chairman of the Western Province Referees' Society.
Here again, he answers readers' questions.
1. Name: Hein Vermeulen
Question: What is the correct sequence of calls for scrum to start for /14 and /15 in 2018 and when to put in the ball thanks
Joey Klaaste-Salmans: Hi Hein, The sequence of calls for scrums for these age groups has not changed. It is still Crouch, Bind, Scrum. The scrumhalf feeds the ball on the 'scrum' call.
2. André Arends
Question: Can an Under-13 girl play in the same team as boys as here are now other girls playing?
Joey Klaaste-Salmans: Hi, André.
Please clarify this question with your provincial union. To my knowledge boys and girls play in the same team only in Touch rugby teams.
